MJP @ Cambridge Cookery School

Following on from our series of successful events last year we will now be taking over the Cambridge Cookery School every Friday and Saturday evening.

Mark will offer two distinctly different concepts:

  • a relaxed £40 for 3 courses on Fridays
    with a short à la carte menu, and
  • an elegant £55 tasting menu on Saturdays.

The menus will change weekly.

With Mark running service in the open cookery school, we are able to offer a the whole space as a "chef's table", where guests are seated next to Mark and are able to watch him work and to chat to him.

Menu for Friday January 17th

  • Mark’s hand made milk loaf ~ £2.50 per person


  • Pressed chicken terrine, whipped liver parfait, pickled wild mushrooms
  • Salmon ballotine, pickled & puréed cauliflower
  • Celeriac and spiced lentil velouté (v)


  • Slow cooked pork belly, broccoli, caper & rhubarb sauce
  • Pumpkin seed crusted cod, butternut squash, creamed cabbage
  • Wild mushroom risotto, truffled Brie (v)


  • Dark chocolate tart, passion fruit jelly, mango sorbet
  • White chocolate mousse, Yorkshire rhubarb
  • Lancashire cheese rarebit on crumpet, apple & ale chutney
    (Also available as an extra course at £7.50 per person)
  • Petit four of white chocolate fudge ~ £1.50 per person
