MJP @ Cambridge Cookery School

Following on from our series of successful events last year we will now be taking over the Cambridge Cookery School every Friday and Saturday evening.

Mark will offer two distinctly different concepts:

  • a relaxed £40 for 3 courses or £50 for 5 courses on Friday evenings, and
  • an elegant £55 tasting menu on Saturdays.

The menus will change weekly.

With Mark running service in the open cookery school, we are able to offer a the whole space as a "chef's table", where guests are seated next to Mark and are able to watch him work and to chat to him.

Menu for Friday February 28th

Three courses for £40

  • Wild garlic and potato veloute, pickled mustard seed and potato salad.
  • Pork short rib, broccoli, peanut and lime.
  • Baked yoghurt, rhubarb, chocolate and orange.

Five courses for £50

  • Wild garlic and potato veloute, pickled mustard seed and potato salad.
  • Smoked haddock, leek, cured egg yolk, truffle.
  • Pork short rib, broccoli, peanut and lime.
  • Lancashire Bomb rarebit, brioche, onion jam.
  • Baked yoghurt, rhubarb, chocolate and orange.

Cookery master class

Mark will be holding a masterclass at Cambridge Cookery School on the 20th February, from 7pm-10:30pm

Join him, and a small group of likeminded guests, in the kitchen for an evening of hands on cooking and insights into how a Michelin-starred chef plans menus, creates his award-winning food, and how he uses various techniques.

At the end of the cooking session, Mark will sit down around the table for a gourmet meal with wines chosen by Mark.
